Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Keyboard stops responding after clearing all Bluetooth profiles

Symptom: After pressing BT_CLR_ALL, the keyboard blinks 5 times rapidly, stops working, then the LED blinks repeatedly as it attempts to reconnect.

Cause: Clearing all profiles on the keyboard removes its pairing data, but your computer still has the old pairing information with outdated cryptographic keys. When the keyboard tries to reconnect, the computer rejects it due to key mismatch, causing repeated connection attempts.

Solution:

  • Windows:
    1. Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices
    2. Find "Icebreaker" in the device list
    3. Click the three dots (...) → Remove device
    4. Look for bluetooth devices again and select the Icebreaker
  • macOS:
    1. Go to System Settings → Bluetooth
    2. Find "Icebreaker" and click the info (i) icon
    3. Click "Forget This Device"
    4. Look for bluetooth devices again and select the Icebreaker

Note: After clearing keyboard bonds, always unpair from the host device's Bluetooth settings before re-pairing.
